It feels like just yesterday that I rushed home on a Sunday afternoon because Damon Albarn decided to debut a brand a new Blur song at the Poetry Olympics, even though he had reportedly halted sessions on a new album and warned of their demise following one final performance at the Olympics. Since then, they’ve recorded and released that song (“Under the Westway”) and even performed it live at Hyde Park in August for that aforementioned Olympic gig.
