Just a month after issuing his Trust EP, Gold Panda has announced details of his sophomore album, Half of Where You Live, to be released on June 11th via Ghostly International and his own NOTOWN label. According to the UK producer, it’s a “city album”, inspired by time spent in Sao Paolo and London, as well as movies by prolific Japanese filmmaker Takashi Miike.
“Brazil” is our first taste of the 11-track effort. Trippy and sizzling, the track features a looping vocal sample, winding and pulsating production, and what sounds like a storm of bouncing balls. Listen to the dizzying cut below.
