Past editions of Brazil’s Rock in Rio music festival have drawn upward of 1.5 million people, and this year’s lineup should do little to curb enthusiasm.
Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Metallica, Muse, Iron Maiden, and Bon Jovi will all perform headlining sets during the seven-date festival, set to run September 13-15th and 19-22nd in Rio de Janerio.
Other performers include Florence and the Machine, Alicia Keys, John Mayer, Slayer, Alice in Chains, Avenged Sevenfold, Ghost B.C., Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Ben Harper, Sepultura, The Offspring, 30 Seconds to Mars, Gogol Bordello, Rob Zombie, Paul Oakenfold, The Gaslamp Killer, Brodinski, Gesaffelstein, Tiga, and, yes — Nickleback. Apparently, Rio hasn’t gotten the memo.
The lineup’s day-by-day breakdown and ticket information can be found via the festival’s website.
