Daft Punk have revealed another installment from their new video series “The Collaborators”, which focuses on the musicians who contributed to the duo’s upcoming album Random Access Memories. This video features Chic frontman and disco legend, Nile Rodgers.

Most of the interview is centered around Rodgers’ legacy and notable collaborations with David Bowie, Madonna, and Duran Duran, among others. In regards to Daft Punk, Rodgers revealed that he recorded with them at New York’s Electric Lady Studios — where he also recorded Chic’s first single — and described the process as very organic. He explained: “I feel like I’m working with contemporaries, with people who grew up with me and feel it the same way we felt the vibe when we were creating this stuff. They went back to go forward.”

Near the end of the video, Rodgers also appears to play a riff from one of songs on Random Access Memories. Scroll to the 10:40 mark.

The first two videos from “The Collaborators” video series featured disco legend Giorgio Moroder and underground producer Todd Edwards.

Random Access Memories is due out May 21st through Columbia Records imprint Daft Life Limited. Pre-orders are ongoing.
