Consequence of Sound is seeking motivated individuals with strong written and oral communication skills to assist the marketing and sales department. This department works with a wide range of national sponsors and ad networks to connect forward thinking companies with a variety of events, such as artists interviews, album reviews, concerts, festival coverage, as well as strategically placed website advertising.
Overview of Responsibilities:
— Working alongside department members.
— Reaching out to both potential and existing sponsors.
— Creating and maintaining spreadsheets and shared Google docs as necessary.
— Coordinating meetings within and outside of the marketing and sales department.
— Cultivating and growing outside sponsor and ad network relationships.
— Updating company databases.
Requirements:
— Ability to complete task in an efficient and timely manner.
— Ability to join weekly phone calls, or meet in person as need be.
It will help if you have:
— Working toward a degree in marketing, advertising, business, or other relevant field.
— Prior experience working with AdData Express, SalesForce, or similar programs.
— Existing relationships with national or local sponsors and marketing teams.
— Experience working with music festivals or similar events.
— Experience in sales.
Consequence of Sound has team members spread throughout the country and conducts much of its business on the phone or through online meetings. This means the position will require an independent worker who can finish tasks on their own, sometimes without supervision or immediate feedback. Strong candidates will come to meetings prepared and with questions ready so that they can begin assignments and meet deadlines in an efficient manner.
