Self-proclaimed “weirdo pop music” troubadour Cole Furlow, a.k.a. Dead Gaze, will issue his proper debut album, Brain Holiday, on October 22nd via FatCat imprint Palmist. The follow-up to his self-titled lo-fi compilation released earlier this year sees the Mississippi native taking his music out of the bedroom and into Oxford’s Sweet Tea studio (Animal Collective, Elvis Costello).

The boisterous and blustery “Rowdy Jungle” is our first introduction to the new record. Furlow yowls about life’s unpredictabilities and holding onto your feelings, while his guitar carves out a winding path through thick forests full of reverb-soaked pop melodies. Fuzz and gloss meet here at high, ear-buzzing levels.

Brain Holiday Tracklist:
01. Yuppies Are Flowers
02. Rowdy Jungle
03. Stay, Don’t Say
04. Runnin’ On The Moon
05. You’ll Carry On Real Nice
06. A Different Way
07. Breathing Creatures
08. Possible Embrace
09. Brain Holiday

Dead Gaze will tour North America for most of September, accompanied by Dent May.
