As we noted, Foxygen leader Jonathan Rado is gearing up to release his solo debut album, Law and Order, on September 3rd via Woodsist. With only a few weeks before the big day, he’s shared a new cut titled “Seven Horses”. Much like the previous singles, “Faces” and “Hand in Mine”, it draws from ’60s psych-pop, but is decidedly more relaxed, chugging on a layer of slow-burning fuzz. Some parts even feel lifted from a psychedelic church celebration, with organ-like sounds ringing triumphantly and Rado calling out to a congregation, “If you feel it all, if you feel it all, clap your hands!”
