After years of being a haven for upper-middle-class hipsters, Urban Outfitters has stumbled upon something to make them apparel lords for the hardcore set. The store’s Vintage Finds program has dug up two styles of leather jackets (see above), respectively featuring logos from punk and metal legends, and put them up for sale on the clothing company’s website.
The site describes the items as “Crazy awesome vintage moto leather jacket[s] from the 1990s” and claims they have only one of each jacket. (By the way, your middle school years are apparently “vintage” now.) Both jackets feature hand-painted logos: punk bands GBH, Crass, Sex Pistols, and The Clash on the left, and metal rockers Dio and Megadeth and a giant white tiger face on the right.
To be the envy of all your pierced and tattooed friends, you better act fast, because these one-of-a-kind finds will surely get snatched up quick at their ripe $375.00 price tag. And nothing says “punk” like 1990s appropriations of ’70s icons sold for under half a grand in the 21st century.
