Along with his activities in the Wu-Tang Clan and increasing directorial work, RZA has a long, strange history of remixing a wide variety of indie acts. He gave Björk’s “Bacheletorette” a little gangsta lean, infused some sex appeal into Alex Ebert’s “Truth”, and turned Portugal. The Man’s “All My Light” into a club banger.

Today, Bobby Digital adds to his repertoire, applying a little of the Shaolin Way to UK art rockers Alt-J’s smash single “Breezeblocks”. The Man with the Iron Fists basically strips out all the instrumentation, removing the twangy guitar and punchy drums in favor of a frenetic mix of breakbeats and random bits of bass. And while the remix is slightly busier than the original, the new, more unbalanced pacing adds all kinds of subtle emotional nuances to the already-twisted love song. Listen in below.
