On September 10th, Canadian quintet Stars are releasing a new EP featuring two songs that didn’t quite make it onto their latest album, The North. Whereas fiery lead single “Wishful” burned bright, its accompanying B-side “The Light” draws more from the shadows that lurk after dusk. Punctuated by sly, creeping synths and dark, dance-y grooves, the introspective new cut — despite its name — plays like a surreptitious late night jam.
