Angle Haze‘s latest Dirty Gold single, “Echelon (It’s My Way)”, is a big, booming synth anthem that sees the CoSigned rapper bust out a little opera singing. In the hands of Vienna-based DJ/producer SOHN, the track becomes less grandiose, with the synths shifting a few octaves to club-banger status while the random skittering of drums helps amp up the overall aggression. And though the remix moves some of the focus away from Haze’s vocals, SOHN manages to make what remains sound especially fierce. Listen in below.
Recorded in Spain, London, and Los Angeles, with production by Markus Dravs (Coldplay, Arcade Fire), Dirty Gold is set for release later this year on Universal Republic.
