On his previous single “Hustler”, singer-songwriter Josef Salvat crooned about the perils and pains of love and lust, revealing, “I’ve got the heart of a hustler, with a hustler’s pain/I’ve got the heart of a hustler, playing a dangerous game”. His latest offering, “Every Night”, finds Salvat tackling similarly heart-wrenching subject matter, only now he lets his vocals take center stage over his heavy hand of emotions.
With a slow, pop groove bubbling off in the background, Salvat’s acrobatic voice often dips to commanding baritone depths, only to swing upwards to a crisp falsetto a few seconds later. It’s a journey of sorts, a sonic up-and-down to match the everyday imbalances of relationships. Listen in below.
“Every Night” is one of two tracks Salvat is releasing as a double-single on December 9th via Fingers and Thumbs.
