Arcade Fire’s highly-anticipated new album, Reflektor, is now streaming in full ahead of its October 29th release via Merge. Take a listen via the elaborate video below. The nearly 90-minute teaser spans all 13 tracks of Reflektor, set against footage of Marcel Camus’ 1959 film Black Orpheus. Update: The teaser video stream has been removed, but you can now hear the album in full via Spotify. Listen below.

The Canadian Grammy winners’ fourth studio album was recorded in Jamaica with producer Marcus Dravs (Neon Bible and The Suburbs), and later in New York with LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy. Frontman Win Butler said the band had 50 to 60 tracks recorded before whittling them down to the 13 songs appearing the 85-minute double-disc record. Butler described the album’s sound as a “mash up of Studio 54 and Haitian voodoo,” as the island of Haiti had a large impact on the sound’s direction. The legendary David Bowie makes an appearance on the title track.

The publicity leading up to the release has been a massive effort. Graffiti-style artwork began popping up all over the country back in August, followed by a short-film and scores of teaser trailers. Arcade Fire guested on the season opener of SNL back in September, which led into the airing of their short concert special called Here Comes the NightThe band has yet to announce a Reflektor tour, though last weekend they played a pair of “secret”, sold-out Brooklyn shows as The Reflektors, followed by dates in Miami and L.A. and a slot at Neil Young’s Bridge School Benefit concert. Update: They’ve announced a second Los Angeles show for Halloween night.
