To the dismay of Thom Yorke, David Byrne, and many other artists, streaming music services continue to be all the rage. Now, YouTube is looking to get in on the action, with plans to release an on-demand service early next year, according to Billboard.

Similar to Spotify, YouTube’s service would offer multiple tiers, including a paid premium subscription and a free experience incorporating ads. YouTube will offer users access to a vast music catalog utilizing resources from its parent company, Google and its own subscription service own Google All Access, while also incorporating features such as a premium music video service and the ability to cache music for offline listening.

A launch could occur before the end of the year.
