Following the death of Lou Reed, Pearl Jam were one of the first acts to pay homage to the legendary rocker, poignantly covering The Velvet Underground’s “I’m Waiting for the Man”. During last night’s show at Los Angeles’s Memorial Sports Arena, the band once again offered up tribute as frontman Eddie Vedder delivered a solo rendition of the Reed-penned “After Hours”. “I just want to let him know we’re thinking about him … I can’t tell you how much I miss the guy,” Vedder said before launching into his spot-on take of the sweet-natured ballad. “Miss ’em while they’re still here…” Watch the fan footage below.
