This afternoon, a public tribute for Lou Reed was held at Lincoln Center in New York City. As Gothamist reports, hundreds turned out to pay their respects to The Velvet Underground frontman, including his wife, Laurie Anderson. In lieu of speeches or live performances, some of Reed’s most well-known songs — “Candy Says”, “Heroin”, “Sister Ray”, “Walk On The Wild Side”, and others — were blasted from speakers.
