Foxygen drummer Shaun Fleming, a.k.a. Diane Coffee, released his solo debut My Friend Fish just last month, but that hasn’t stopped him from hitting the studio. The former Disney voice actor has shared a new, non-album track titled “Gov T”, which he says was inspired by the “shutdown, as well as governmental systems, politics, and synchronicities in general.” Sonically, it picks up where his LP left off, a freewheeling number that lives and breathes ’70s rock. “I know where the government goes!” he proclaims, as rowdy guitars take turns springing up and fizzling out behind him.
