UK dance-pop artist Katy B will issue her sophomore album, Little Red, early next year through Rinse/Columbia Records. Though it’s still without an official release date, we’ve already heard a number of its tracks: the jaunty house-styled “What Love Is Made Of”, the clubby “5am”, and the blissfully catchy “I Like You”. But whereas those songs had her strutting the dance floor, her latest LP cut “Cry For No Reason” shows a softer, more vulnerable side to Katy B. Her regret and uncertainty, although emotionally restraining and draining, manage to really inspire her vocal prowess, her voice sounding more powerful here than ever. Listen in below.
Little Red follows last year’s Jessie Ware and Diplo-featuring Danger EP, as well as her 2011 full-length debut, On A Mission.
