UK electronic outfit Darkstar will issue the second of two new remix EPs, HD7, on November 26th via Warp Records. HD7 follows last month’s 01484, both of which feature reworks of tracks taken from their own album News From Nowhere released earlier this year.
HD7 includes three new remixes, including a special collaboration with New York producer Zomby (alongside his Cult Music project) on “You Don’t Need a Weatherman”. The whimsical and colorful original is flipped entirely into something much darker and unknown. Mystical yet daunting, it’s the kind of the track that unexpectedly takes you captive in its maze of shadowy, whirlwind electronics. Listen in below.
