Thus far in his “UNDER THE CVRS” series, George Lewis, Jr., aka Twin Shadow, has tackled songs from Bruce Springsteen, Tori Amos, and 10cc. Now, Lewis tries his hand at U2′s monster hit, “With Or Without You”. Whilst he’s stripped the track of its anthemic scope in favor of the dark rumblings of lo-fi New Wave, Lewis maintains its depressive emotional core, delivering a husky croon brimming with layers of heartache and forlorn.
