When Eminem released Relapse back in 2009, BET celebrated the comeback album with a one-off return of their popular freestyle/interview series Rap City. Now, with Em supporting The Marshall Mathers LP 2, the cable network has once again brought the show out of retirement for a special episode.

During the freestyle segment, the Detroit rapper decided to go a capella turning his lyrical tricks without a net. Em’s lyrical display was a lot like the ridiculously great B-side “Don’t Front”: there was old-school viciousness (“Role model? I’ll roll a model down a hill over broke bottles of coke products if she don’t ________”) right alongside his trademark quirkiness (“Fuck me? Fuck you too, like I’m a Bonnaroo booing Bono / And I ain’t from this planet, so nanu, nanu nanu”). Watch below as the heat from Marshall Mathers’ fire leaves Slaughterhouse in stunned, singed silence.

Note: Em’s freestyle begins at the 7:30 mark.
