Katy Perry returns tonight with the video for “Unconditionally”, the latest single from the recently released Prism. Fitting with the track’s sweeping, anthemic nature, the video is an equally dramatic and glamorous affair. Shots are centered around an elegant ball that features, amongst other feats of theatricality, slow-motion dancing, Perry shattering a car (!) by touch, lots of snowfall, flaming gowns, and one truly majestic owl. “It doesn’t have a complete narrative,” Perry told MTV. “I do that all the time; I usually have quite a big story line…. This time I wanted to give a lot of gorgeous, beautiful looks, which I don’t usually go for. But it’s mostly just a beautiful video that is supposed to evoke this power of love.”
