Halloween may be a distant memory, but that won’t stop Queens of the Stone Age from delivering the frights in their new video for the …Like Clockwork standout “The Vampyre of Time and Memory”. With direction from by Kii Arens and Jason Trucco, it’s American Bandstand meets American Horror Story, with the band performing in a set of increasingly macabre locales (a taxidermist’s parlor, what may be limbo itself), accompanied by two creepy maids and one voodoo priestess.
According to the directors, “This is the video that will make your skin crawl in that addicting way that makes it hard to look away.” They added their aim was to “re-imagine the music video as a virtual art installation distinguished by horror, weird beauty, and a deep vein of surrealism. There have been interactive music videos in the past, but none that so strongly capture a band’s essence.”

Update: The band has also announced new US tour dates for early next year. They’ll hit venues in Florida, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas.
