Animal Collective get their own pizza

Earlier today, we reported news of “Cinnamon and Lesbians”, the new Stephen Malkmus-inspired ice cream set to debut at Momofuku Milk Bar in NYC on January 7th. But what about a main course? After all, mom always says, “no sweets before dinner.” Well, you could mosey on over to Two Boots Pizza and order a slice of “The Animal Collective”.

As Eater NY points out, the pizzeria has introduced the AnCo-inspired slice in conjunction with the opening of its new location in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. So, what exactly does it entail? As its name suggests, it’s a meat lover’s dream of tasso ham, chicken, andouille meatballs, and pepperoni, all hosted on a Sicilian crust.

More of a veggie kind of gal or girl? Fret not, because Two Boots also offers “The Meg”, inspired by The White Stripes’ Meg White, and which comes in the form of a four-cheese white pie.

In related news, the thing I miss most since relocating from New York to Chicago is New York style pizza. To quote the great Jon Stewart, Chicago deep dish is just “tomato soup in a bread bowl.”
