On December 24th, London singer-songwriter Anna Calvi will issue a new 7-inch single titled “Suddenly”. The lead song — which is off her excellent, recently released album, One Breath — is a commanding number in and of itself, but its accompanying B-side might be the real head-turner. Calvi offers up an inspiring cover of Bruce Springsteen’s “Fire”, her acrobatic vocals, hushed one minute, booming the next, leading a blaze of power, emotion, and control. Listen in below.
