For two days last month, producer Clams Casino and Chicago rapper Vic Mensa were locked in a giant white room by HP. With a live stream running on YouTube, the boys were challenged to create a fresh beat using HP’s new Split x2 laptop/table, incorporating the suggestions of YouTube trolls. After 48 hours, three different tracks, and a public vote, the end result is a warbly Middle Eastern-vibing song called “Egyptian Cotton”. Check out its accompanying video below.
