Even as Freddie Gibbs draws closer to the release of his collaborative LP with Madlib, Piñata, the Indiana emcee hasn’t stopped working on solo material. Following July’s ESGN, the latest track to surface is the Young Chop-produced “Deuces”, a dogged and hard-hitting number that slings a brutal bite quite unlike his more laid-back outings with Madlib. Check it out below via its boxing-themed clip, which features footage from the infamous Mike Tyson vs. Evander Holyfield fight.
Piñata is due out on February 4th, 2014 via Madlib Invazion. It promises appearances from Raekwon, Danny Brown, Earl Sweatshirt, Joey Bada$$, Ab Soul, BJ the Chicago Kid, and more.
