Old meets new, as our newly-crowned Rookie of the Year, HAIM, receive the remix treatment from Daft Punk collaborator and Italian disco producer, Giorgio Moroder. Showing zero signs of age, the 73-year-old legend tackles HAIM’s Days Are Gone single “Forever”, infusing it with bursts of dance floor glow and wondrous vocoder magic. But even with all its dynamic additions, the rework retains the pop cut’s original strengths (that awesome bridge remains mostly untouched!) — it just sounds bigger and brighter than before.
