Both Vic Mensa and Chance the Rapper seem to really enjoy the art of collaboration. The former recently teamed with Clams Casino for a project with HP, and the latter has been chilling with everyone from Childish Gambino to Justin Bieber. Of course, the Save Money compatriots are no strangers to working together, either, and now they’ve teamed up for “Suitcase”. With a trippy, relaxed beat, the cut lets Chance show of his quick rhyme schemes (wash the dish and wish for rain / and when it pours in the midst of all / you don’t forget to call me to come back”) and Vic display some existential lyricism (“What if they only found my suitcase? / Would I be on Newsweek?”).
