Maynard James Keenan has accomplished a lot over the last 50 years of his life. For example, as a member of three successful rock bands, he can throw a birthday party for himself and not have to worry about paying for entertainment. On May 10th, Keenan will host his Cinquanta at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, featuring performances from both A Perfect Circle and Pusifer. Not sure why he couldn’t make it a perfect trifecta and also have Tool on the bill, but the night will also feature recently reunited outfit Failure. Plus, I’m sure there will be wine a-plenty.
“Making it to the half century mark can be equal parts daunting and relieving,” Keenan said in an issued statement. “I figured I would remove the sting of officially being referred to as ‘Gramps’ by throwing a party and outlasting all of my rude friends.”
Tickets go on sale December 6th.
