See unused album artwork for Bon Iver, Phosphorescent, Foxygen, and others

bon iver forever

Artist Daniel Murphy is the man behind much of the album artwork from the Secretly Label Group, which includes Secretly Canadian, Jagjaguwar, and Dead Oceans. He says that they can go through 10 to 40 different design variations before settling on the cover that thousands of music fans recognize from their iPods or vinyl collections. Most of those initial designs never get seen, but now Murphy has taken to Instagram to share some unused and alternative cover concepts for albums by Bon Iver, Luke Temple, Phosphorescent, Bleached, Foxygen, Porcelain Raft, and others. Check out a select few below, and find more on Murphy’s Instagram account (via Pitchfork).
