Top 10 Music Autobiographies

autobiographies

Do you have time to read? I’d like to think you do. After all, you’re reading this. But, in the off-chance you’re able to skirt away from the digital confines of the Internet, perhaps you like to pick up a book, find a little nook, and escape into a story. (If you can hear the Reading Rainbow theme right now, then I’ve succeeded.) Because you’re a music fan, though, you might want to skip Woolf, Salinger, Kerouac, or Didion and pick up something more in your arena, no pun intended.

The good news is that there are a ton of stories penned by your favorite musicians. In the past year alone, we’ve seen books by Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson, R. Kelly, and Morrissey, with another entry by Courtney Love on the way. To assist in your visit to your local bookstore and/or library, we grabbed a bookbag and tossed in 10 of our favorite music autobiographies for your tuneful eyes. If these haven’t graced your nightstand, you’re in luck. If they have, please suggest some below.
