One would think that the gulf between OPN’s intricate sound and the simplicity of Emojis would make them incompatible, but in John Michael Boling’s newly created video for album opener “Boring Angel”, an ever-changing series of Emojis set in time with the song’s kaleidoscopic electronics brings about a genuine emotional ride.
