While Damon Albarn‘s busy prepping his debut solo album, Blur bandmate Alex James has embarked on an entirely different venture: soda.
This past October, James submitted an application to the UK’s Intellectual Property Office for exclusive rights to the term “Britpop” for naming sodas and alcoholic beverages. That’s not all he’s tinkering with in the kitchen, though. As City A.M. reports, the bassist also has a lineup of amazingly-named artisan cheeses such as the “Little Wallop”, the “Farleigh Wallop”, and the New Order-inspired “Blue Monday”.
No word on what the drink will taste like, but here’s hoping it’ll go down as great as the ’90s did.
