Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros frontman Alex Ebert and U2 took home victories in the music categories of tonight’s Golden Globe Awards.
Ebert won Best Original Score for All is Lost, beating out formidable candidates such as Hans Zimmer and John Williams. During his acceptance speech, he was joined by Diddy, who revealed they recently partied on a boat together.
Ebert joints Trent Reznor (The Social Network) as notable alternative/indie musicians who’ve won a Golden Globe for Best Original Score.
Meanwhile, U2 won Best Original Song for “Ordinary Love”, their contribution to the Nelson Mandela biopic, Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom.
