The Cool Kids’ Mikey Rocks and Chuck Inglish have laid low since 2011’s When Fish Ride Bicycles, but it looks as though they’re ready to make their return. Today, the Chicago hip-hop duo have unveiled not just one, but two brand new tracks.
Much like the aforementioned LP, which blended retro and fresh sounds, the new cuts reflect the Kids’ continued grasp of both ’90s stylings and modern-day busy beat-making. “Computer School” goes big and bouncy and even samples Steve Harvey. Meanwhile, “Chop” is a whole different beast, a skittery and slamming number featuring Bay Area crew HBK Gang. Listen in below and prepare to bust out a couple of different moves.
Shark Week, The Cool Kids’ new album, is expected to drop sometime this year.
