Los Angeles indie rockers Vanaprasta have spent the last 12 months writing and recording the follow-up to 2011’s Healthy Geometry. The songs making up the as-yet-untitled find the band experimenting with “newer digital and analog technology that allowed them to create mechanical sounds while keeping space for the guitars and melodies to call and respond with each other”.
Though there’s no official release date for the record, Vanaprasta’s unveiled a new song titled “NYF”. Here, they’ve set aside the Kings of Leon-toughness of their past material, opting for more sunny, lightweight Beach Boy melodies. Check it out below.
