On March 4th, singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright will release a career-spanning best-of collection entitled, Vibrate. The 18-track effort collects past favorites like his “Hallelujah” cover, “The Art Teacher”, “Going To Town”, and “Cigarettes And Chocolate Milk”. Also included is a brand song, “Me and Liza”, co-written by longtime collaborator Guy Chambers. A perfect aesthetic fit for 2011’s Out of the Game, the sultry, Bowie-esque pop-rock ballad is streaming via SoundCloud.
Vibrate will also be available in a deluxe edition, which includes a bonus disc of rare and unreleased recordings. Among the 16 tracks are Wainwright’s contributions to the Brokeback Mountain and Moulin Rouge soundtracks, several first-time physical releases, random live tracks, and unreleased songs recorded at Kenwood House in 2010.
