Sex Pistols’ Johnny Rotten and Incubus’ Brandon Boyd are set to star in a forthcoming adaptation of Jesus Christ Superstar alongside Destiny Child’s Michelle Williams and ‘N Sync’s JC Chasez. Now, pardon me while I go and update our list of Musicians Who’ve Destroyed Their Legacy.
As SPIN points out, the production will comprise a 50-city tour kicking off June 9th in New Orleans. Former punk legend Lydon will play King Herod, while Real World fanboy Boyd has been cast as Judas. Williams will play Mary.
Earlier today, Boyd and Williams previewed the production by appearing on Good Morning America to perform the titular track. Watch footage below.
