Stream: Avey Tare’s Slasher Flicks’ new album Enter the Slash House

Avey Tare’s Slasher Flicks, the new project from Animal Collective’s Avey Tare, will release their debut full-length, Enter the Slasher House, on April 8th through Domino Records. In anticipation, the album is streaming in full below.

The 11-track LP marks the first official release for the indie-rock supergroup, which also features ex-Dirty Projectors member Angel Deradoorian and drummer Jeremy Hymn (Ponytail, Dan Deacon).

According to a press release:

Having composed the bones of these eight songs on acoustic guitar, Avey Tare invited Deradoorian to create melodic lines to flesh them out. Then, enter Hyman, whose backgrounds in painting and music proved his rare combo of flexibility and acuity, “free but structured.” Uniquely its own “jazz power trio,” Slasher Flicks produced and recorded the songs live at the Lair studio using only minimal overdubs; the live sound being key to Slasher Flicks’ spooky dynamism.

Pre-orders for the album are ongoing.
