For our international readers and all those who failed sixth grade geography class, there are two Kansas Cities: one in Missouri and one in Kansas. Last night, Arcade Fire’s Reflektor tour hit the former, and continuing their fun trend of cover songs, Will Butler, Tim Kingsbury, Richard Reed Perry, and the bobbleheads serenaded the audience with an over-the-top rendition of the Kansas classic “Dust in the Wind”. Eventually, Win Butler stepped in to remind the band that Kansas hails from — yep, Kansas: “Guys, that was really beautiful, but that’s a Kansas song and we’re in fuckin’ Missouri. That’s gonna kill when we play Lawrence, though.” Replay the funny moment below (via Stereogum).
