Last night, both Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy and comedian-musician Bo Burnham popped up in an episode of NBC’s Parks and Recreation. As previously reported, the Chicago human teddy bear portrayed the lead singer of the fictional defunct band Land Ho!, while Burnham made a surprise appearance as bratty country pop star, Chipp McCapp.
In the episode, Leslie (Amy Poehler) and Andy (Chris Pratt) are searching for top-level talent for their forthcoming Unity Concert, which they hope will smooth out the rocky merge between Pawnee and Eagleton, IN. Albeit short of a cameo, Burnham squeezes in a few lyrical laughs, and Tweedy later gets humbled by Andy when he attempts to sing along to “Karate Chop Master”. Very funny.

Tweedy is also set to appear on the show’s season finale, set for April 24th, alongside members of The Decemberists and Yo La Tengo.
