Comedian and SNL cast member Jay Pharoah does more than just impersonate rap superstars Jay Z, Kanye West, and Lil Wayne; he’s also an emcee in his own right. In honor of last night’s NFL Draft, Pharaoh’s unveiled an apt freestyle over Drake’s new single “Draft Day”.

For anyone expecting jokes and punchlines, Pharoah’s left his funny bone at home, spitting confrontational and braggadocios rhymes that reference everything from Jessica Alba to 12 Years a Slave and even Kanye-esque motivationals (“They tried to kill the king with negativity/But I’m god’s though”). Who knew that years of playing rappers on TV could actually make you a great lyricist yourself?
