SNL cast member Jay Pharoah recently showed off his musical chops with a straight and narrow freestyle over Drake’s  “Draft Day”. Today, he’s back with another track; however, this time, he’s incorporates equal parts hip-hop and comedy.

On “Problems”, the funnyman spoofs the stereotype of the hard-balling rapper, the Lamborghini-driving, money-throwing, woman-shuffling archetype that defines our collective notion of modern rap. Between spouting off about “bitches”, weed smoking, and his cash inflow, Pharoah’s rapper breaks the fourth wall to address the audience, revealing an emotionally-stunted hypochondriac with severe debt. Most rappers would have you believe there’s no deception to their posturing, but often the most effective satire is based partially in truth. Plus, props for rhyming “Green Giant” and “fire hydrant”.

Watch the accompanying music video below, which may be the greatest rap video my eyes have ever seen.
