I’m an awful driver. When I get behind the wheel, I see my passengers tense up almost immediately. Needless to say, it’s become a daydream of mine to be able to hop in the car and cruise with my friends without anyone fearing for their lives. Until that day comes, I can live vicariously through J. Roddy Walston & The Business’ video for “Take It As It Comes”, the latest single from their 2013 album, Essential Tremors.

From a hood-cam we see the bearded Walston coolly driving his truck around town, picking up his bandmates and friends while bopping along to his own song. The motivational lyrics appear periodically on the windshield as Walston eats bananas and piles too many people into the front cab. I’m sure there are countless traffic violations going on here, but I’m in no place to judge. Watch it below.

Walston and the band will be making their way through the festival circuit this summer, with stops at Newport Folk Festival, Bonnaroo, XPoNential, and Lollapalooza.
