DOOM and Bishop Nehru detail collaborative LP, share “Om”

As previously reported, masked rap kingpin DOOM and up-and-coming New York emcee Bishop Nehru have joined forces to record a full-length album entitled, NehruvianDOOM. Today, the pair have unveiled the album’s tracklist (below) and release date: September 23rd via Lex Records. That’s the cover art above, drawn and designed by Ghost Shrimp.

To accompany today’s announcement, DOOM and Nehru have also shared another of the album’s nine tracks. Following “Darkness (HBU)”, “Om” emphasizes more of the lyrical stylings from the younger Nehru. While DOOM spits a few bars, he uses his powers mostly in support by laying down a particularly bizarre and catchy chorus. (The mesmerizing beat of looped drums and piano certainly helps drawn in listeners.) It’s perhaps because of that steady chorus and DOOM’s support that Nehru is especially dominant, sounding as fluid as he is outright forceful.
