Many have argued that we’ve reached a saturation point with the whole Ice Bucket Challenge. But with news that the viral campaign has led to $31.5 million in donations to ALS Association, 16 times the amount it had received over the same period last year, it’s hard to dispute the positive effect of the campaign. Thus, the more completed challenges, the better.

On the music front, we’ve already seen Drake, Foo FightersPearl Jam, “Weird Al” Yankovic, and Cage The Elephant get dumped with buckets of freezing water. Several more have since accepted the challenge, including Kendrick Lamar:

If you’re looking for more info on ALS and the origins of the Ice Bucket Challenge, I strongly suggest you check out ESPN’s recent segment on Pete Frates. The former college football star was diagnosed with the debilitating, incurable disease at the age of 27 years old. Undeterred, Frates has become an advocate for ALS awareness and research, which inspired his friends to start the Ice Bucket Challenge. As you’ll see, even Frates himself gets doused.
