Belle & Sebastian announce new album, Girls In Peacetime Want To Dance

On January 20th, Belle & Sebastian return with their new album, Girls In Peacetime Want To Dance, due out through Matador Records.

The Scottish group’s ninth album to date follows 2010’s Write About Love and was produced in Atlanta by Ben H. Allen III (Animal Collective, Washed Out, Deerhunter). The LP was mastered by Frank Arkwright at Abbey Road Studios, with additional mixing done in Glasgow with longtime collaborator Tony Doogan.

Below, watch a clip from the band’s time in Atlanta and preview one of the album’s new songs.

In related news, Belle & Sebastian’s entire vinyl catalog will be back in print on October 7th.

The band also have a few 2014 and 2015 dates lined up, including a short leg in North America and a festival appearance at ATP Iceland (16 years since they curated the first Bowlie Weekender). Consult their itinerary below.
