Celebrate Bruce Springsteen’s 65th birthday by listening to lullaby versions of his songs

For years now, the folks at Rockabye Baby! have been repackaging some of our favorite rock songs from Radiohead, the Beatles, and Metallica into cutesy, instrumental lullabies for children. It’s no easy feat reimagining something as ferocious as “Enter Sandman” as sleep-time appropriate, but they’ve taken on the task rather brilliantly.

Today, in honor of Bruce Springsteen’s 65th birthday (I know, he looks amazing), Rockabye have unveiled the latest installment of their series: Lullaby Renditions of Bruce Springsteen. That’s the adorable Born In The U.S.A.-referencing artwork above.

The 13-track collection swaps guitars and drums for xylophones and bells, and includes such classics as “Born To Run”, “Dancing In The Dark”, “Thunder Road”, “Hungry Heart”, and, of course, “Born In The U.S.A.”. While the original version of “I’m On Fire” might’ve been a tad Rated R for a tot’s ears, rest assured that Rockabye’s rendition is all innocent bliss.

Below, listen to the lullaby version of “Born In The U.S.A.”, followed by a pun-ny description from Rockabye themselves.

Does your baby think they were born to run? If your little Boss isn’t tired and wants to prove it all night, tuck them in with these blissful versions of Bruce Springsteen’s classic rock anthems. We promise there will be lots of sleeping in the dark.
