Death Cab For Cutie guitarist and founding member Chris Walla recently announced his departure from the band after 20 years. Last night at Rifflandia Festival in Victoria, British Columbia, Walla joined his bandmates on stage for the final time.
Below, you can watch fan-shot footage of the set’s final performance, “Marching Bands of Manhattan, from DCFC’s 2005 album, Plans. Afterward, all four members embraced on stage.
Walla will appear on Death Cab’s new studio album — the follow-up to 2011’s Codes and Keys — which was completed last month. A release date is set for early 2015.
